Looking for a Gite with a Pool

The gites are in a 17th century barn, with numerous exposed beams and stone walls providing 2 adjoining gites Suitable for hire individually or together for larger groups.

As people who enjoy good food and cooking, we have provided everything we would hope to find in a Fully equipped kitchen area including - full size cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, food processor, cook's knives, serving dishes, kettle, teapot and all cooking utensils. There is also a washing machine, iron & ironing board. Electric cool box (27litres) - mains or car
TV, Satellite TV (with some English channels), and DVD (also plays CDs) and video. Wifi internet connection now available
Large selection of books.

To minimise the amount of luggage you need to bring (especially for those flying) All bed linen and towels are provided and included in the price, including pool towels. For 2 week bookings, a fresh set of linen and towels will be provided for the 2nd week. Please note, we do not provide bed linen for the cot.
There is a mobile air conditioning unit in each gite. Fan provided in each bedroom .
Smoking - In the interest of safety and the comfort of fellow / subsequent guests, we kindly request that you refrain from smoking inside the gite
Fire extinguisher in kitchen. Smoke alarms.

2 Bedrooms - Sleeping 4 adults. 1 x double - with en-suite bathroom (shower). 1 x twin.
2nd bedroom with cathedral ceiling and beautiful exposed beams is accessed by steep stairs. "Black out" blind - ideal for putting the kids to bed

3 Bedrooms - Sleeping 6 adults. 1 x double - with large en-suite bathroom (large shower). 2 x twin.

Outside

Shared luxury swimming pool - 11 x 5m, lit at night. Large Roman steps provide easy access to the pool.
New for 2010 - we have invested in a very high quality conservatory style pool cover that will ADD BETWEEN 4-10c to the pool temperature. That means you can swim in warm water from April until October, whatever the weather. It has just been fitted (Oct 09) hence no "summer" photos. The cover rolls completely off the pool when not needed, or can be opened just at one end during cooler spells. The cover also provides 100% UVA & UVB protection.
It conforms with all French pool security regulations, & for added security & peace of mind we are keeping our existing pool fence.
Our pool is a traditional chlorinated pool, checked & maintained daily, to ensure bather comfort.
Please be aware that salt water swimming pools also contain chlorine, some people claim, that their salt systems are chlorine free, this is untrue. A well managed traditional chlorinated pool is no more or less "harsh" than a salt system swimming pool. Google it !

Whilst the pool is fenced & covered to comply with French legislation, your safety remains your own responsibility and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
This last photo isn't our pool, but it gives an idea of what it is like open (as it was installed in October we haven't any good pictures of it open until this spring).

All pool maintenance is undertaken by Alex and Alison. You're on holiday - there's nothing for you to do unless you really want to.

Shaded parking.

Stunning views over rolling countryside from gite, terrace and pool. Over 1/2 acre of established gardens for sole use by gite guests, with many mature trees offering plenty of dappled shade.

Wide variety of fruit trees including cherry, plum, grape, apple, peach, fig, apricot and walnut. Guests are welcome to pick the fruit in season.

Some garden maintenance (yes grass cutting and watering) will be necessary during your stay - but we'll endeavourer to do this whilst you are out and about.

We are surrounded by open fields and woods - excellent for an evening stroll or cycle.
There is plenty of garden furniture and barbecue equipment.
- 8 Sun loungers and 4 reclining chairs available by the pool.
- Each gite has a terrace with wooden table and chairs.
